Battle of The Sexes was an unforgettable night to remember in the Tdot. Guests braved the torrential downpour and arrived at Peridot Resto Lounge unsure of what the evening entailed. Guests tweeted about how unique the concept was to a city used to stuffy semi-formal gatherings and redundant social playlists. Patrons discussed topics privy to intimate same sex gatherings such as safe sex, living at home, the friend zone and Toronto Stereotypes. Rarely do the two genders communicate on issues such as these and BOTS opened the floodgates. Panelists Dr.Vibe, Lincoln Anthony Blades, Stacey Marie Robinson and Telisha Ng added their unique and often controversial perspectives to the conversation while our host HL_BB steered the direction by encouraging audience participation and offering her own two cents on each topic.
The laid back vibe of the night was created with music and show sound effects provided by Dynamic Vibe Entertainment- Who remembers Wrap It Up? Each guest felt as if they were on a Hollywood set, The Potential Films team, the official videographers of BOTS, captured each moment on film while Julia of Immense Memories took photographs of guests against the official BOTS backdrop as well as candid shots throughout the evening.
To break up the tension of the battle a few rounds of a game called Sexual Charades were played. Each phrase was tied to a topic discussed in the night including friends with benefits and the cheeky phrase, “just the tip”.
At the end of the evening guests were invited to continue the conversation and parted with a gift bag filled with treats from our BOTS partners.
